THE LEFT SHOWED UP ARMED. THE RIGHT SHOWED UP LGB.
a two-sentence facebook post drew the whole map this month. both ends of the horseshoe filed paperwork in the same week.
FIELD REPORT № 018 · FIELD UNIT 9 · RILEY VEX, ON SCENE · August 2026 · 2 MIN READ
a verified account posted the map in two sentences. go far enough left you get your guns back, go far enough right you get your gays back. the first clause was already a floating proverb. the second one closed the shoe, and august took it as an assignment.
I'm standing in two lobbies at once. conditions in both are cordial.
left lobby. denver's pink pistols chapter is running twenty-five new shooters a month, up from a couple in 2024. twin cities took permit-to-carry classes from five people to twenty-five, added seven more, filled those too. the liberal gun club went 2,700 members to 4,500 and training requests quintupled. a man was killed by federal agents in minneapolis in january. the range has been booked since. slogan predates the news cycle — armed gays don't get bashed.
right lobby. the log cabin republicans added the T in 2015 and voted it out on august 20. their president's op-ed says they are now an LGB advocacy organization, "as our founders envisioned." the fiftieth anniversary is next year. it's a reunion and a breakup in the same press release.
"finally someone said it," said a man who asked to be identified as both bumper stickers. he was in the comments, the only chamber that still seats everyone.
we reached the horseshoe for comment. both tips said they were the moderate ones.
Vex, Field Unit 9. remains released to the timeline. the scene remains active at both ends.
